Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Trinigence Inc., a corporation registered in Delaware, United States, 1007 N Orange St, 4th Floor, #5044, Wilmington, DE 19801 (“we”, “us”), for the Dorotheus app and the website dorotheus.app (together, “Dorotheus”). By creating an account or using Dorotheus you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Who can use Dorotheus

You must be at least 16 years old. You need an account, created with an email one-time code, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Keep access to that email or account secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person.

3. What Dorotheus is — and is not

Dorotheus offers personal insights for reflection and self-understanding, across body, mind and soul and through past, present and future. It is built on principles of traditional astrology.

Insights describe patterns and tendencies for you to confirm or contradict. They are not facts about you, they do not predict events, and they are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Insights about the body describe tendencies, never a diagnosis. Do not use Dorotheus to make decisions about your health, safety, money or relationships, and do not delay seeking professional help because of anything you read in it.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line near you right away. Dorotheus cannot help in an emergency.

4. How insights are made

Our system calculates your chart from your birth details and chooses insights and questions for you by fixed rules. We use a large language model to help write and check the wording of insights, and every text is checked before it is shown. Even so, an insight can be imperfect or not fit you — which is why Dorotheus asks, and why your answers change what it shows you next. If your birth time is unknown, some insights are less precise, and we tell you so.

5. Free and Premium

Dorotheus is free to use, with a limited selection of insights that keeps refreshing. Premium is a paid subscription that adds a wider selection — for example earlier periods, periods further ahead, and your Journal. What each plan includes is shown in the app before you buy.

6. Subscriptions and payment

• Buying. Premium is bought through the App Store or Google Play and billed to that account, at the price and for the period shown before you confirm. Taxes are included where the store requires.
• Free trials. If we offer a trial, the app tells you its length before you start. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription.
• Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancelling. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
• Price changes. We will tell you in advance. A new price applies only from your next period, and where the store requires it, only with your agreement. You can cancel before it applies.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; request them through the store.
• Right of withdrawal (EU, UK and Serbia). Consumers have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied immediately, this right ends once supply begins, if you asked for it to begin and acknowledged that you lose the right — which the store asks you to confirm at purchase. Your statutory rights for faulty digital content are not affected.

7. Your content

Your profile, your answers and your Journal belong to you. You give us only the permission we need to store and use them to provide Dorotheus to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete them or your account, except for copies we must keep by law. We do not use your content for advertising or to train AI models.

Please give accurate birth details; insights can only be as good as the details they start from.

8. Our content and your licence to use Dorotheus

The app, its insights, texts, design and brand belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Dorotheus for your own, non-commercial purposes, on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms apply. You may share an insight with friends; please don’t republish our content at scale.

9. Fair use

You agree not to:

• use Dorotheus for anyone else without their permission, or pretend to be someone else;
• copy, scrape or download our content in bulk, or use it to build or train other products or AI models;
• reverse-engineer the app or interfere with its security or operation, except where the law allows it;
• resell Dorotheus or access it through automated means;
• use it for anything unlawful.

10. Changes to Dorotheus and to these terms

Dorotheus will keep evolving. We may add, change or remove features; if a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel. We may update these terms: we will tell you at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Dorotheus and delete your account before then.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Dorotheus and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it; unless the law or security prevents it, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. If we close Dorotheus altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your data.

12. Our responsibility

We work to keep Dorotheus available, accurate and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any insight will be right for you (section 3). We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for decisions you make based on insights.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it — for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for intent or gross negligence — or your rights as a consumer, including your rights if digital content is faulty.

13. App stores

If you downloaded Dorotheus from the App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you as an App Store user; the store’s own terms also apply to your purchases.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there; if you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Serbia, nothing in these terms takes away the rights consumer law gives you. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at [email protected] — most things can be solved that way.

15. General

If part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term straight away does not mean we give it up. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it to a successor who continues Dorotheus under the same terms, and we will tell you.
